Outlook 2007 Setup
Open Outlook 2007, at the top select the Tools menu, and select Account Settings.
Click on the Email tab and then click on New
Check the Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next
Select Internet E-mail and click Next
Next fill out the correct information.
- Your Name
- Your email address ( username@yourdomain.com )
- Account Type: POP3
- Incoming POP3 mail server ( mail.yourdomain.com )
- Outgoing SMTP mail server ( mail.yourdomain.com )
- Your login information ( email address and password )
Once this is filled out click the "More Settings" button.
A new window will open with additional settings.
Click on the Outgoing Server Tab
Checkmark the box that says "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
Leave the default settings to Use the same settings as my incoming mail server
Click the Advanced tab
For the Outgoing mail (SMTP) change the port number from 25 to 587
Click OK
Click Next
Click the Finish button and you will have completed the setup.
